To My Clients and Friends
My little tax practice has grown tremendously over the last three years, and I wanted to thank all of you for your support, referrals, and patience as we’ve grown.
First, I am asking that you suspend all referrals. We are currently NOT taking new clients. My biggest fear is that this growth will continue and will ultimately diminish my ability to service all of your accounts.
Last year, we opened up scheduling to an on-line calendar and that unexpectedly created a large influx of new clients. As a result, some of you were not able to get in before the April 15th deadline and I apologize for that.
This year, to make sure all returning clients get a time slot to file timely, we will be scheduling your appointments for you. In the coming weeks, we will email you your scheduled appointment time. We will base your appointment day and time on a similar time to last year's appointment. If there is a conflict with the time we give you, you will certainly be able to reschedule, or go on extension.
We will also try to schedule plenty of time based on the complexity of your return. Some you will get a 30 minute appointment, some of you will get 2 hours. The goal is to get as many people in and get returns fully completed during your allotted appointment time. We ask that you please be prepared for your appointment with all necessary tax documents uploaded to Dropbox 36 hours prior to your appointment time.
The high majority of you will be booked as a Remote appointment on Zoom. I am expecting very few available in-person appointments this season. I am booking In-Person office appointments only for the people that I know need them.
We also provide two ways to utilize our “Drop Off Service”. If you're not in a rush to get your return done, you may either:
1) Physically drop off your documents at our Santa Ana office either inside or after hours through our mail slot. OR
2) Upload all your documents to your personal on-line Dropbox in the 2022 Folder and email us when you have everything loaded.
Either way, when we complete the return, my staff will reach out to you for a phone call or zoom appointment with me to review, discuss, and finalize with you before E-Filing. Drop-off service is first come, first serve and I will review these returns after normal business hours.
